>GR8ER2 · AI Visibility, measured to a standard we publish
We make your business the answer AI recommends.
Ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Google's AI for the best in your category and you get an answer, not ten links. That answer is the shortlist — and most businesses have never checked whether they're on it. We measure whether you're on it, to a published standard — the Gr8 Score — then do the work that moves it.
> The shift
Search used to hand you ten links. Now it hands you one answer.
When someone asks an AI assistant who's best for what you do, it doesn't show a results page — it picks. That pick is built from what the model can find, verify and trust about your business: your site, your entity data, what other sources say about you. If that picture is thin or inconsistent, you're simply not part of the answer, no matter how good the business behind it is.
74% / 61%
Of cited domains change from one day to the next — 74% on ChatGPT, 61% on Google AI Overviews.

AI Visibility (GEO/AEO)
Establishing whether AI recommends you, diagnosing why it doesn't, and doing the work to change it — measure, diagnose, build, re-run, set out in full below.
Every number we report is measured to the published Gr8 Score standard, which ships with its question set, its run count and its margin of error.
Read the StandardBecause AI should make everything you run more capable, we also take on select AI integration and bespoke-system work for existing clients.
> The Standard
We didn't just adopt a way to measure AI visibility. We published the standard for it.
The Gr8 Score is the only AI-visibility measure we've found that ships with the questions it was built from, the number of times it was run, and its margin of error. We publish the method in full, we publish our own score — including when it's bad — and we hold every client audit to the same bar. Read the Standard →
We publish our own score. · We publish the error bar. · We publish how many times we asked.— three things no competitor we've found publishes.
> The difference
The work is table stakes. The Standard isn't.
Plenty of agencies will now “do the work” on AI visibility. What no one else does is publish the standard the work is measured against — and hold their own brand to it, in public. We do the work too. We also set the bar it's judged by.
We don't guarantee placements, rankings or recommendations. Nobody honest can — no one controls what a model decides to say. What we guarantee is the work: a real baseline, a real plan, and a re-run of the same test so you can see exactly what moved.
> Method, in brief
Measure. Diagnose. Build. Re-run.
- Measure — real buyer questions, run across every major AI engine, scored against your named competitors.
- Diagnose — why you do or don't appear, traced back to entity data, content and citations.
- Build — the work that's most likely to move the number, done for you.
- Re-run — the same test again, so the result is checkable, not asserted.

Report
When buyers ask AI who to use,
this business isn't in the answer.
Twenty real buyer questions, run eight times each through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. The brand appeared in 0% of discovery and comparison answers — and 100% of searches that already named it. The AIs know it once you say it. They never suggest it.

The scoreboard your buyers see
Composite Gr8 Score — mention rate, position-weighted share of voice and citations — across all four assistants.
Absent from the pages the engines read
Answers were built from "best of" roundups, directories and review sites. Competitors appear in all of them. This brand appears in none — so it never enters the shortlist.
Money pages aren't citation-ready
Discovery answers reward answer-first structure, verifiable stats and schema. Unstructured marketing pages don't get quoted, however well they're written.
Measured to the GR8ER2 Standard
The four things every Gr8 Score ships with — and no other score shows you.
Realistic targets by day 90
Re-measured against the same questions, so the return is provable rather than promised.
This is a sample. Figures are illustrative and competitors are anonymised. Targets are directional, based on a measured baseline — never a guarantee.

Illustrative sample — figures are not a real client result, and competitors are anonymised. The real thing is published: see the full Gr8 Index →
Our own number. We publish our own Gr8 Score every cycle, to the same standard as any client — and right now our open-field score is zero. A company selling measurement that won't show its own reading is asking you to take the rest on trust.See our own number →

FAQs
What is AI visibility?
It’s whether ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI recommend your business when someone asks for the best option in your category. AI visibility (also called GEO or AEO) is the work of measuring that, understanding why it does or doesn’t happen, and doing what’s needed to change it.
How is the Gr8 Score calculated?
It combines three measured components — Mention Rate (40%), Share of Voice (35%) and Citation Rate (25%) — into a single number from 0 to 100, with the weighting published and frozen per version. The full method, the question set behind it and its margin of error are published in the Standard.
Isn’t this just SEO?
Related, but not the same job. SEO optimises for ranking in a list of links. AI visibility optimises for being the answer a model gives directly — often with no click and no list at all. The mechanics that earn each are overlapping but distinct.
Do you measure Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode?
Not yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. There are two different Google surfaces: AI Overviews (the answer box in Search) and AI Mode (Google’s conversational search). Neither has a public API, so today we measure Google’s Gemini model directly, alongside ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity — and we are building licensed measurement of AI Overviews and AI Mode so the Gr8 Score covers the exact surface your customers see. We’ll say plainly which surface any number comes from.
Can you guarantee my business will be recommended?
No — and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. Nobody controls what a model decides to say. What we can do is measure your current visibility honestly, do the work most likely to move it, and re-run the number so you can see exactly what changed. We report the real number either way.
How do you measure it?
We run a set of real buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s Gemini, and score whether and how your business appears against your named competitors. That baseline Gr8 Score is what the free AI Visibility Audit gives you.
What if it doesn’t work?
90-day minimum, no lock-in, and you keep every asset. The risk to move the number sits with us.
Who owns the work you do?
You do. You keep everything we build, permanently.
Is my data safe?
Your enquiry details are kept in our own database, in systems we control. We don’t sell them, and we don’t use them to train models. We handle personal information in line with POPIA — see our privacy notice for what we collect and why.
Why now?
This is our read rather than a measured finding: the AI answer surface is consolidating, and being an early, consistent presence in it looks considerably cheaper than displacing an established default later. We’d rather say that plainly than dress it up as a statistic.
Do you work outside South Africa?
Yes. GR8ER2 is based in Cape Town and works globally — the method doesn’t change by market, though pricing for international clients is set separately from the South African rate card.
What does it cost?
The AI Visibility Audit is free — a real, measured Gr8 Score baseline and a 90-day plan. Ongoing management is priced on application, from R9,500/month depending on scope. 90-day minimum, then month-to-month. No lock-in. You keep everything we build.
